Okay, it's called the Barry Crown WALK for the Animals (aka Walk with Peggy), but for us it's all about the wash! We were psyched to offer the Celebrity Pet Wash at the 13th Annual Barry Crown Walk for the Animals again this year. We brought our staff and van and supplies to Downtown at the Gardens, along with local celebs Rachel Leigh of WFLX FOX 29, Emerson Lotzia of ESPN West Palm, and Em Mendez of The Palm Beach Post -- we all pitched in and got soaking wet for the cause, and we raised $1093 for Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League! Last year we raised over $700, so clearly we're on a roll here. Next year we're gonna be UNSTOPPABLE.
Thanks to our staff, especially Alyssa, Alex, Melissa, and Kathryn, the good people at Peggy Adams, and our local celebrities for helping us help animals in need! We even gave a Scenthound Express to some dogs up for adoption, so they could go to their forever home smelling all Sniffty! We especially enjoyed meeting Rachel Leigh's Willie, a Peggy Adams success story, in his Hawaiian shirt. Stay classy, Willie.
Peggy Adams' CEO, Rich Anderson, spoke about the ways Peggy Adams helps pet ownership be affordable, such as their low-cost spay/neuter and vaccination offerings. We're proud to help that cause as well, by offering basic maintenance like the Scenthound Express, for only $25. Together we can all keep dogs in their happy, healthy homes -- for life!
Emerson Lotzia's dog Rufus was LESS THAN pleased when his owner returned home from the walk smelling of every dog but Rufus: click here to see the evidence.
Rachel Leigh's dog Willie can be seen in her news coverage video of the event here!
