Party Like We're Rock Stars

...'cause we are!  We had a great time at our West Palm Beach salon last week celebrating some major milestones and accomplishments of our Dog People -- our folks have been working hard, putting in the hours learning, reading, testing, practicing, and advancing in their careers as groomers and just general Dog Care Experts.  It's important to us that each of our Dog People knows the latest and smartest research on best ways to care for dogs' health and well-being, and that they're always learning -- and sharing their learning -- about preventive care. It's what we do what we do, to make your life -- and your dog's life -- easier, better, happier, and more fun.

Meet Assistant Trimmer Alex!

Alex is one of those people who gives you a huge smile whenever she meets you. Her coworkers describe her as bubbly and smart; when she says she'd describe herself as shy and weird they immediately jump in to say, "No, you're not!" To which Alex fires back, "What's wrong with weird? Normal is boring!" Honestly, though, she's also normal in a cool way: Alex loves to go to the beach in her free time and spend time with her 5-year-old daughter London. She loves to draw and has even been known to create cool dog portraits in the salon. She has her own little pup, a "crazy" chihuahua named Ash. Her favorite flavor of ice cream is chocolate; one of her favorite movies is Rocky Horror Picture Show. (Ahh, now we're getting down to the "weird" part...)  Alex moved here about a year and a half ago from Manhattan (that also explains a lot -- JUST KIDDING, all you New Yorkers!) and has been with us for about 9 months. She says she loves it here -- it's paradise. All we can say is, weird or normal, Alex: we're glad you're part of the tribe.

Meet the Family

Many of you may know Jenna, one of our Assistant Managers in Jupiter.  But you may not know theserandom facts: 

1. Jenna is expecting her first child in September 22, a boy who will be named James Andrew.

2. She has two dogs, an American bulldog and a pitt mix, named Chloe and Shelby.

3. Her favorite place to go is the beach; she also loves going mudding on four-wheelers.

4. She broke her right arm when she was little, had surgery on it, but it never healed properly so she can't twist her wrist. The only time that really gets annoying is when she has to turn a doorknob!

5. Her friends describe her as positive, cheerful, happy, and "blond" (!).

6. She's good at dancing and cheering (she did those in school); she says she's horrible at any other sports.

7. She loves Ellie Goulding's music and her favorite movies are The Notebook and, for a freaky twist, theSaw movies.  (But she looks so innocent! Maybe that's why she became a groomer??  Just kidding, just kidding.)

8. Last but not least: She loves feet.  (Yep. You read that right. Her fellow Pet Groomerie people team members rag her to no end for that.  But wait till she gets a load of little chubby baby feet!)
